Bond. James Bond

I am a HUUUUGE fan of James Bond. I only got into it because of Daniel Craig (I want to marry him, but who doesn't? :)) And so at school this semester I was taking a cinema class where we learn aaaaaalll about James Bond, and we watched like 15 of the films. Daniel Craig is still my favorite, but ANYWAY in the cinema building they were having a mini exhibit of some costumes and props from various James Bond films, and when I saw this tuxedo that Daniel ACTUALLY WORE I wanted to die!!
MMmm mmm mmm he is delicious. They also had two other women's costumes which were really beautiful.

Jane Seymour from "Live and Let Die" as Solitaire. She was sooo beautiful in this movie!

And then Halle Berry's dress from "Die Another Day".

This dress is a little tacky 90's for my taste, but the details on it are just beautiful.

I really wish they had one of Vesper's dresses from "Casino Royale" and I wish I could steal Daniel Craig's tuxedo But alas, no. This exhibit was really cool and I'm happy I finally remembered my camera before they take it down!
(sorry for the glare and reflections in the picture, the room is super bright and glassy with things everywhere so it was impossible to get a clear picture!)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Mine will be spent studying for finals :(

When I Was Young I Was The Victim of a Killer Smile

Had an appointment in Beverly Hills and then ran some errands. Then back home to do mounds and mounds of homework. I have 3 MAJOR essays due in a week and a half and it is the worst.

Cardigan: Banana Republic
Tee: Target
Jeans: Levi's
Boots: Nine West ( yes I have two pairs in two colors :))

I basically LIVE in this cardigan, it is sooo comfy I wish had gotten one in every color! Hope everyone is having a great week so far...I have just been cooped up and will probably stay that way until next week. Oh well, last semester of college!!

"Sky Blue Cashmere Coats"

images from JustJared.com

I do not watch Gossip Girl (I did the first and second season but then it just got sooooo bad), but every once in a while I see pictures of Blake Lively on set and am blown away (with jealousy) by her outfits! This is by far one of my favorite ones. It definitely reminds me of the line from one of the books about how when fall comes all the girls break out their sky blue cashmere Marc Jacobs coats, right?

I want this outfit.

Sweet Dreams Are Made of These

Oooo Chloe'

If you don't already know, I am a fan of any and everything high-waisted. And I am also a fan of everything Chloe'. I was browsing net-a-porter.com (as I do almost every day...) and brought up a list of these beautiful babies that I would KILL to own.

The perfect white pant:
but at $1,010 these white silk pants are a little out of my price range. Right now at least :)

Butterfly Jacquard Silk Pants
Only $855. Oh my god these are so beautiful! That outfit on the runway is how I wish I could dress everyday. She is my dream self.

Wool Flannel Turn Up Shorts
$840 Ok scratch that, THIS is my dream self. I am OBSESSED with these shorts and have been looking and looking for a (cheaper) alternative. Any suggestions??

Velvet Tapered Leg Pants
At $1,560 these are the most expensive pair but definitely the most unique and eye catching. These just look so luxurious and are an awesome alternative to a cocktail dress. Awesome.

What do you think? Are you as big a fan of the high-waist as I am? I just loooooove it!

CHANEL

Back in 2005 when I was on a trip in NY I was lucky enough to go see the Chanel Exhibit at the MET, and I just found this awesome poster that I bought there, which my mom framed for me.
The poster is AMAZING and I am so happy that I had the good sense to buy it since at the time I wasn't as in to Chanel as I am now.

There are all these sketches by Karl Lagerfeld and so here are some pictures I took of my favorite ones (sorry for the reflections and stuff)
It is just really an amazing piece and I only wish that I had a camera at the time so that I could have taken pictures of the actual exhibit, because from what I remember it was just beautiful.
Now I just need to find a place to hang it in my room!

xoxo

Grey Days/I'm Baack!!

Ok after a month the horrible blogger is back! Too much school to do, but I only have 1 month left so now I think I can handle that and then I am out into the real world!

Today was the first day that it was actually COLD. And DARK! I was so happy this is my favorite weather. I just couldn't handle it being 85 degrees in November. I had to go down to school to see people who worked on James Bond QOS (like Marc Forster the director, the screenwriters, and Barbara Broccoli) unfortunately, there was no Daniel Craig but it was pretty fun anyway!
As I know my sister will be reading this yes, I stole your sweater again...whoops :)
I'm wearing:
Zara Trench (1st pic)
Target sweater worn as dress
TJ Maxx leggings
Nine West booties

I will definitely be posting more often now as I LOVE fall/winter clothes and that is when I actually dress cute, so I am not rebelling against the weather :)
Hope everyone has a great week!

DYING!!! Dior Diva Auction today!

So I had gotten an email a few months ago giving me a heads-up about this Dior Diva Auction, and today I got the email saying that it starts today. I obviously had to go and check it out and the prizes are incredible! Unfortunately, I don't have a few thousand extra dollars so I can't go and and buy something, but if any of you out there do, I am super jealous!
Here is what is up for auction:

Cherie Diva:
"Live a day in the life of the ultimate Dior Diva, Miss Dior Chérie! This prize includes a trip for two to Paris to experience all the sights, sounds and delights the city has to offer. You’ll even get a peek inside the offices where the Dior business continues to this day and a chance to meet François Demachy, the Dior perfumer who created this famous fragrance. Finish your adventure with dinner at Café de Flore, the legendary café on the Left Bank. And we even promise a few more surprises in your room when you return, including a numbered copy of the Miss Dior Cherie brand book with a signed sketch by John Galliano. Ahh — isn’t life grand?!?"

Fingers Crossed!!

I have been keeping an eye on this pair of shoes every since I saw them on Carolina from The Fashion Squad...I thought they were amazing, but I just didn't feel like paying full price since I knew that they would not get a TON of wear, just for certain occasions because I would feel too self conscious in them for everyday wear, you know? :)

Anyway, I saw other people wearing these Aldo ones, which really look exactly the same, and they were ON SALE at Amazon, but I was still waiting for them to go lower....but they never did :(
So lo and behold, I go and check the other day and THE BRONX SHOES ARE ON SALE!!! For even LESS than the Aldo ones! I could not believe it! So I quickly put them in my cart, but the little sign was blinking saying ONLY 2 LEFT IN STOCK!! And then it would switch and say 1 and then go back to 2...it was weird...
So I paid for them and i haven't received a shipping confirmation so I am hoping against all hope that I got one of the last pairs! Now they are completely sold out in my size, which is obvious because when those shoes are 46% off you don't expect them to last long!
So I am keeping my fingers crossed...I need these shoes!!

Where The Wild Things Are x Opening Ceremony

When I heard that Opening Ceremony was collaborating with the movie Where The Wild Things Are, I was pretty skeptical. I mean, have you seen the trailer? It looks awesome, but no fashion to be seen. Well, I guess that I didn't see what Opening Ceremony saw. This collection is AWESOME. Weird, yes, but awesome. Just look at this stuff:
Douglas Motorcycle Jacket $565
Douglas Military Jacket $635
Bull Shawl Jacket $635
Ira Full Skirt $290
Carol Flare Coat $575

Alexander Mini Skirt $220

I want everyone of these pieces, but they wouldn't really be appropriate for Southern California weather I think...
And BONUS! All the pieces are made of faux fur so they are animal friendly!
If anyone buys something from this collection let me know because I would love to see it!
Have a great Tuesday everyone xoxo
