Gone With The Wind

Happy Labor Day everyone!! Today my best friend C and I went out to lunch because we haven't seen each other in weeks and her birthday is in 3 days so I had to give her my present!

As you can see it was super super windy...which made the weather cooler FINALLY, but I had a tough time keeping my hair out of my face!

I'm wearing my new Twenty8Twelve shorts that I talked about that I ordered from Gilt. They finally came last week after about a month. I don't think it's really fair that they make you pay $12 for shipping and then you get it a month later...kind of a rip off if you ask me...but oh well, I love my shorts!

And how cute is C's hat?? I am obsessed with it and want one, but I think my head is too big sadly :(

Now I have to go finish up some homework for school tomorrow, have a great last few hours of the holiday weekend everyone!

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Ok first off, let me apologize for my absence...the past two weeks have been CRAZY busy, with school starting and I was dogsitting and had no internet...it was ridiculous!

But now I am settled into my school routine (unfortunately) and can fully say that this semester will hopefully be pretty good!  I love all my teachers and (most of) my classes.

Anyway, tonight was my mom's birthday and so my family and I all went out to dinner, and it was sooo hot that I needed to wear something comfortable.  I didn't wear these shoes to dinner just because we were at a country club and I didn't feel like getting too dressy and wearing heels, but I just bought them last week and am IN LOVE.

Aren't they super cute??

I kind of want to wear them all the time.

I also do not know what has gotten in to me lately, but I have been shopping and spending money waaay more than usual.  Maybe it's because I am working more so I like to treat myself, but I have bought three pairs of shoes in three weeks, which is usually unheard of for me!  Now I have my eye on a pair of over the knee boots but I don't know if I want them in suede or leather...any suggestions?

Does anyone know how to make it so the whole picture fits on the page?? For some reason some of mine show the whole picture, but the shoe ones get cut off! Help!

FINALLY...Finished!

I saw this Marc Jacobs necklace when I was checking out his website, and then I checked out the price...almost $1000!!!!! For some safety pins? I could not believe it!


So I decided to make one myself! And here's how it turned out...what do you think?


I'm pretty happy with it, basically the only thing I had to buy were a few more safety pins so I think all in all this maybe cost me 5 or 6 dollars...pretty good I think.

Sky High

Since I haven't done an outfit post in a while, I decided to post one of me wearing my new Zara flower skirt...and my new Stuart Weitzman heels!  These are my version of the Sam Edelmanns that everyone has.  There is no way I could EVER wear those, I would feel like Godzilla...so these are just the right height!

Pretty Things

I finally got to do a little shopping the other day and I bought a few cute things.  First, I stopped at Zara and they had soooo many cute things I wanted to buy everything!  But I had to show (some) self-control and only bought this blouse that I had had my eye on...

And this adorable skirt that was on sale for only $20!!  I have been wanting a jean skirt alternative, and this is still denim but is just so cute with the little flowers.  

They almost look hand-painted to me.

Then I picked up a few things from Nordstrom Rack.  I hadn't been there in AGES, and now I remember why!  I get so tempted to buy everything!  I tried on the cutest outfit in the entire world but it was a bit too pricey for me, I wish I had taken a picture of it.  A sparkly cream 3/4 coat with gold button and a little skirt hem from Juicy Couture and these gorgeous white pants from Tory Burch.  I told myself if I return in two weeks and they are still there I will buy them because it was meant to be :)

Instead I just bought a little pajama set and some cute underwear from Juicy Couture.  One thing that always gets me is the cute packaging--I can't resist!

And thanks so much for all the nice comments about my leggings!  I'm glad everyone liked them!

DIY Embellished Leggings

Over the weekend I decided to try making some embellished leggings, and I am going to do two different pairs.  Here is the first one that I did:

It took a pretty long time to do because I decided to hand sew everything onto the leggings because I didn't want any pulling. And then I had to cut up some of the braided part and weave the velvet ribbon through. So it basically took me about two days to do. But I LOVE how they turned out. I kind of want to try this on some thick black tights because I think that would look really cool.

I am also in the process of making a necklace but it is taking a bit longer than i expected! Also, thanks to le Blog de Sushi for a tutorial on how to make pictures bigger!
