June Gloom

I don't really have much planned for today, maybe I will run in to town and do a couple of errands, but today is still pretty gloomy out.  I can't believe this weather!  I would love it even more if it was cold, but this gloom combined with weird heat and rain is confusing me so much.

I am on my second mug of coffee so far.  Look at my mug, isn't it cool!  It is one of those porcelain ones with the silicone lids that look like Starbucks cups.  I got it at FIDM and I LOVE it.  

And finally I have included a picture of my sleeping puppy (he's not really a puppy, I just call him that).  For some reason he likes to sleep next to his bed, which is weird, but whatever, he's cute :)

Lazy Day

Today was another lazy day...since I do not have a real job yet, I basically just do nothing but sew all day, and occassionally venture out shopping or go on a walk.  I have been working on a really cute romper, but I am stuck as to how I should make the top...but hopefully I can finish it soon and wear it!

 

I wore this outfit all day, minus the heels, but I thought this looked really cute with my new shoes :)

I woke up soo late today!  And the weather was still kind of gross looking, which is very weird for Southern California in May.  I keep wanting to go to the beach, but is has been so dreary lately.

This outfit is very conservative and classy, I think.  I love the high waisted paperbag jeans.  They are my favorite, but many people think that they are weird so I don't wear them that much.  Oh well.  

Probably just going to laze around today and watch The Tudors on DVD.  Love that show.

Current Obsessions: Volume 1

Every once in a while I am going to post some of the things that I currently LOVE.  I have a very obsessive personality and tend to love things for a period of time and then move on to something else every few weeks.  But some of these things have stood the test of time.  One of them being:

1) Keira Knightley:  I absolutely love this girl.  I have loved her for years and think that she is the most beautiful woman in Hollywood.  I also think she is one of the most glamourous, and was very disappointed to not see her in Glamour magazine's list of 50 Most Glamourous Women.  She deserves number one in my opinion, and this is (part of) my shrine to her on my wall.

2) Prada eau d'Iris perfume:  I go through obsessive phases with perfume and this is my current love.  It smells so fresh and delicious and is perfect for hot summer days.  And the bottle is gorgeous, too--plain and simple.  Amazing.

3) Sparkly things:  I LOVE this sparkly jewelry case that my friend gave me.  This picture does not do it justice, because in person I literally cannot take my eyes off of it!  Whenever I go into her store, there are tons of sparkly items from Deux Lux and I just want to buy them all!

And last but not least...

4) Chris Pine:  Alright, so I will admit that I loved him even BEFORE Star Trek in Princess Diaries 2, but after seeing him as Captain Kirk my love has been renewed :)  He is drop-dead handsome in this picture, and he is a wonderful actor.  And guess what?  In June I will be seeing him in person in the front row of his play that he is doing with Chris Noth.  CAN'T WAIT.

Fun in the Sun

So basically it is VERY difficult for me to actually blog and post pictures due to the small fact that I currently do not own a camera...the only one I had was stolen from my house, which sucks, so hopefully I will get a new one soon.  So for now, I am posting sporadically and using pictures taken on a friend's camera!

Yesterday I went to the Huntington Library in Pasadena and it was SOO beautiful.  I had been there once when I was younger and wanted to go again, and I am very happy that I did.  I decided to wear something summery and fun, that was definitely easy to wear all day!

Mellow Monday

Oh boy, I have so much to do this week!  I hope that everyone had a great Easter, I sure did, I got to wear my new dress and ate waaaaay too much, but that's the point of Easter, right?

So now that the weather is getting warm, I am going to have to begin the transition into *shudder* summer clothes.  I'm going to miss my coats and boots and tights :( 

I decided to stay in the spring mood in this outfit with a cute flora corset top and coral sweater.  And being outside which is a rare occurrence for me.  Being in nature is wonderful, though, and it was such a beautiful day!

Welcome to Mode Princesse!

This is my very first posting on mode princesse, and I am really excited about starting this blog.  I will be posting pictures of outfits from my own life and from the current popular fashions.  A lot of the things that I will be wearing are handmade and I absolutely love them and I hope other people will as well!  I will try and start posting as soon as possible and I can't wait to get started!
