American Girl

One thing I love about LA summers is that once the sun sets, it usually cools down significantly.  None of those hot sticky nights where you are still sweating sitting outside.  Being indoors, on the other hand, can still be hot, but oh well.  

I finally decided to wear my bustier from Forever 21 and I wanted to dress it down so just wore it with some light skinny jeans and boots.  I guess this outfit made me look really young for some reason because once it hit 10pm, this security guard came up and asked me how old I was.  I guess there was a curfew or something and I didn't look older than 18 (I'm hoping it was 18 at least!).  I usually never have problems with looking my age, I thought I always looked older than my 21 years but I guess not!

And I have come to the conclusion that I am probably the most unphotogenic person in the ENTIRE world.  It is weird because I look good on film, but never in pictures!!

I was checking my email this morning and got my daily email from Gilt Groupe saying that they had a Twenty8Twelve sale.  Now, normally I do not buy anything from Gilt, but I decided to check this one out and all the clothes were SOooo cute.

I CANNOT wait until Fall arrives, or at least when it starts to get cold.  And I want to be wearing this outfit.  I LOVE it, especially the leggings.  I have no idea where they are from but they are kind of giving me a challenge to try and DIY them...maybe in the coming weeks....

Not Falling Apart

Today I went to my godmother's birthday lunch at a country club and ate waaay too much! :)  I kind of hate when I wear heels because I always tower over everyone and feel like a monster, and constantly get people coming up to me asking "How tall are you??".  And then today I had the added questions of "Why are you wearing a bandaid on your cheek?"  To which I had to explain a million times that I had stitches.  So this was what I wore.  It was a hot day, but when I left the house it was pretty dreary so I wore this little sweater over it.  We were also inside so I never got really hot...

Bathroom Humor (not really haha)

Happy Saturday everyone!

I am just doing a teeny tiny little post because I wanted to show off my brand new Tolani scarf that I was lucky enough to win from The Glamourous Grad Student and Chickdowntown.  I LOVE it.  It is the absolute perfect length, width, everything.  And it feels AMAZING.  It is so beautiful!  I just took a really super quick picture in the Ladies Room this morning at breakfast so sorry about that, but the bathroom was beautiful too!
